Louise Lang - Head of Recruitment and School Consultancy Services

Louise LangLouise joined Gabbitas in August 2012. Previously, she worked at Millfield School in Somerset in the Development and Alumni Offices, and also as the school’s external event co-ordinator. These varied roles meant that she worked with a broad cross-section of the school community including Governors, the Headmaster and Senior Management Team, foundation board, staff, parents and alumni. As an Old Millfieldian herself, she is a voluntary board member of the Old Millfiedian Society.

 

Louise also has extensive experience in the hotel, leisure and restaurant industry, successfully running and managing her family’s hotel in Somerset for over eight years; and spent three years running her own image consultancy and personal branding business. She now heads up the Gabbitas Recruitment and Schools Consultancy departments.

Maureen Lacey - Senior Recruitment Consultant

Maureen LaceyMaureen has extensive experience of the education sector. Initially, she spent some years as a teacher, both for adults, teaching cookery, and for children, assisting in a London prep school. In 2001 Maureen joined the Independent Schools Council International as a consultant to advise UK and overseas parents on the placement of their children in affiliated schools in the UK.

Following four successful years with the ISCI, she moved to Brighton College in East Sussex to assist in the admissions department. Maureen joined Gabbitas in 2006, organising the administration for the Recruitment Department and assisting schools and clients with their recruitment needs. She now places teachers and senior managers in international schools and places private tutors all over the world.

Katie Robinson - Recruitment Consultant

Katie Robinson Katie joined the Guardianship department at Gabbitas in 2010 after spending six years in Madrid. During her time in the Spanish capital, she joined a leading English Academy where she taught general and business English, before moving into the administrative side of the business. As client coordinator, Katie was in charge of classes, seminars and conferences as well as managing the recruitment of teaching staff.

 

Originally part of the Guardianship team, Katie dealt with clients from all over the world, including Korea, China, Iran, Mexico and Malaysia. The Guardianship department gave Katie a great opportunity to get to know the UK Independent school sector and she built a successful working relationship with clients, which she brings to her current role in the recruitment team. Katie handles recruitment for teachers and pastoral staff in the UK and joined the team in 2011.
