We have been working with our office in Tokyo for 30 years to provide Guardianship services for parents and students. Over the years, Gabbitas has built strong and successful relationships with clients in Japan. We have ensured that countless parents feel reassured, safe and secure in the knowledge that their children will have the highest level of support and care from Gabbitas and our carefully selected guardian families in the UK. The Guardianship Department prides itself on its ability to match students to their perfect guardians, and the operations of our offices in the Far East will ensure that we can help many more families and students in the future.
One of our most experienced members of staff is leading this international expansion - Sofie Liao has been heading the China office in Shanghai since September 2009, where they offer and promote Gabbitas’ numerous services. Their own experiences of living in the UK place them in the perfect position to provide reassurance to parents intending to send their children to the UK to be schooled independently.
Our Gabbitas offices provide direct contact for parents, which is crucial in providing a personal and friendly service. Along with our Guardianship services, we offer parents advice on UK boarding school placements, higher education, and recruitment and consultancy services for both regional and UK institutions. We offer a document translation service to schools and parents, and our new offices are also authorised to act as centres for Chinese students to sit their entrance exams.
In 2009, Gabbitas opened up our Russia department, which is run from our London office. The department deals with Guardianship clients not only from Russia, but many other countries from the Baltic region and beyond. We additionally have a representative office in South Korea.
