Academic Information
Academic Studies
Education is more than academic success, important though this is. It is also about enthusiasm, enjoyment, engagement and excitement for intellectual endeavour, embracing moral, spiritual and cultural development of strong and well considered value systems. Blundell's is concerned with developing character, inquisitiveness, perseverance and a genuine love for study and scholarship. The academic results are strong here but so is the strength of the academic societies. The expansive new academic buildings reflect our belief that academic success lies at the heart of this school. The broad curriculum in the lower years allows the pupils to experience a wide range of subjects and interests, as they progress through the school they develop greater awareness of the complexities and depths in the chosen specialist subjects. We prepare them for a wide range of university courses at the strongest university departments.
Academic Success
For the last 4 years A Level results have been over 70% A & B grades. An average of 5 Oxbridge entrants each year.
Destinations
University destinations: Oxford, Cambridge, London, Cardiff, Bristol, Edinburgh and many others.
