Loretto Junior School is set in 85 acres of leafy campus just outside Edinburgh in the heart of Scotland. It is a small friendly school with a Nursery (3-5), Early years (5-7) and the Nippers (8-12) based across 2 different sites and provides a secure working environment with the best of city and country opportunities.

The school boasts small class sizes, with an average size of 15 in the Junior School which promotes a high level of teacher contact time for each pupil, enabling children to develop and learn at their own pace. The school is well suited to the flexible life of parents who both work and provides extended drop-off and pick up-times (8.15 am to 4.00, 5.00, 6.00, 6.30 pm or later), whilst the boarding options (flexi, weekly and full boarding) appeal to a wide range of families. The Scottish 5-14 curriculum is followed and modern teaching methods and resources are integrated with more traditional educational values. The school provides both a full, long day for day pupils and boarders and with the excellent range of activities both academic and extra curricular, few schools can match Loretto is a fantastic learning environment and one which we recommend to many parents.
