Within a couple of miles of central Oxford, St Edwards has the advantage of offering a full boarding, 13-18 educational environment where teenagers do not feel stranded in the middle of nowhere. Oxford offers plenty of shops, cinemas, theatres etc to enable them to socialise, while excellent standards of pastoral care within the boarding house structure, ensure that they are devoting equal attention to their very wide range of academic studies. St Edwards has fabulous facilities which enable them to offer a very diverse range of curriculum subjects at public examination level. They have recently introduced the IB as well as A level for study in the sixth form. Many boarding pupils live in London, returning home at the weekends but the weekend boarding is still strong.
