Gabbitas Consultant Review
St Francis’ College was founded in 1933 and provides a wide and broad education for girls up to the age of 18. It is close to the A1(M), M25 and M1 motorways, served by fast service trains to London, Kings Cross and Cambridge and with easy access to Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton airport and therefore has a wide catchment area for day girls as well as boarders who need to travel in the holidays. It is a delightful, happy and vibrant school with small class sizes where individual attention is catered for and where every child can aim to reach their full potential, academically, socially and via a wide range of activities and extra-curricular activities. The school offers The Duke of Edinburgh and St John Ambulance Award schemes and girls can excel in sport, music, drama and art. The school is also quite unique in that it also has a well stocked library. The school makes reading a positive activity where the library is used for private study during the day and at lunchtimes but it also used for playing games such as Cluedo and Monopoly. This year’s GCSE and A level results were quite outstanding. Overall, this is an excellent school in which girls can excel.
